The Liviero Group has acknowledged the skills shortage in the industry and has pledged to work with various learning institutions to help ensure a skilled and diverse workforce that is able to meet the future growth requirements of the organisation.
We are working closely with the Construction Education Training Authority (CETA) to facilitate Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) and learnership programmes that address some of the scarce skills facing the construction sector.
We have an excellent Bursary Development Programme offering bursaries in Civil Engineering, Mining, Quantity Surveying, Building Management, Human Resources and various other functional disciplines.
The Group launched its first round of Learnership Development Programmes (LDP) in 2010 and has continuously empowered unemployed male and female youths in the Building, Civils and Mining sectors, specialising in Bricklaying, Carpentry, Supervision in Construction, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician and Boiler Maker qualifications. Since the launch of the LDP programmes in 2010, 42 candidates successfully completed the programmes and have been placed in various working environments within the Group.
